Light Architecture: Luminous Walls Video Clips. Duration : 6.92 Mins.
Luminous walls: From stained glass windows via modernist wallwashing to pixelated planes Luminous walls belong to the essential repertoire of qualitative lighting design. With light, spaces can be defined and reinterpreted. Illuminated walls allow us to provide orientation and to perceive the form and dimension of space. Further, their glow and play of brilliants could bestow a space with an impressing scenography. The timeline reveals different lighting approaches: From backlit stained glass windows for spiritual enlightenment in the gothic period to modernist uniform wallwashing. Contemporary examples will open the view for pixelated colour changing planes based on LED technology. The movie with an overview of international projects covers lighting methods and techniques for luminous walls and their visual appearance. With a perception-orientated design perspective the designer could use vertical illuminance to create bright spaces and thereby also contribute to sustainable lighting solutions. Upcoming lecture: PLDC - Professional Lighting Design Convention, Madrid 20.10.2011 The overview of international projects from architects like Antonio Gaudi, Mies van der Rohe, Frank Lloyd Wright, Louis Kahn, Jean Nouvel, Peter Zumthor, Raffael Moneo, Toyo Ito, Christoph Ingenhoven and Karim Rashid or light artists as Peter Kogler and Erwin Redl covers various lighting methods and techniques for luminous walls and their visual appearance. 01 Introduction to Secrets in Plain Sight Miniseries Tube. Duration : 4.20 Mins.
Secrets In Plain Sight (www.secretsinplainsight.com) is anawe inspiring exploration of great art, architecture, and urban design which skillfully unveils an unlikely intersection of geometry, politics, numerical philosophy, religious mysticism, new physics, music, astronomy, and world history. Exploring key monuments and their positions in Egypt, Stonehenge, Jerusalem, Rome, Paris, London, Edinburgh, Washington DC, New York, and San Francisco brings to light a secret obsession shared by pharaohs, philosophers and kings; templars and freemasons; great artists and architects; popes and presidents, spanning the whole of recorded history up to the present time. As the series of videos reveals how profound ancient knowledge inherited from Egypt has been encoded in units of measurement, in famous works of art, in the design of major buildings, in the layout of city streets and public spaces, and in the precise placement of obelisks and other important monuments upon the Earth, the viewer is led to perceive an elegant harmonic system linking the human body with the architectural, urban, planetary, solar, and galactic scales.

iPhone 4 Facets Case Video Clips. Duration : 0.87 Mins.

Sharp lines and angles make for a contemporary feel, while the slim case gives your iPhone protection. Triangles connect to form a linear pattern, which adds depth and dimension to the urban case. Providing protection with style, the Facette feels playful, like art should be. * Custom designed by Erik Arlen, protection with a geometrical pattern * Form fit feature cover back and corners * Available in red, white, or black * Impact resistant, flexible shell * Access to all ports and functions * Screen protection kit included

Orlando Home Designer, Florida Luxury Detail Design Tube. Duration : 4.25 Mins.
www.SusanBerryDesign.com, SusanBerry@ClassicalHomeDesign.com Orlando, Florida Home of Luxury Home Designer, Susan Berry, ASID. Palazzo del Lago, the 2006 Street of Dreams in Bella Collina, represents the very finest in architectural design, interior innovation and handcrafted artistry. The interior detailing, materials selections and exterior details and specifications are the work of Susan Berry, of Classical Home Design. Walls with the look of aged plaster, copper-clad windows, medieval-style groin vaults and intricate wrought-iron accents further evoke the home's old-world feel. Those time-honored touches give way to a more polished, sophisticated look in the formal areas of the home, where imported marble and onyx, magnificent gold and crystal chandeliers, and exquisitely embellished floors and walls create a refined air. The dramatic rotunda above the stair tower is hand-painted to resemble the stained-glass dome of a Venetian conservatory spotted by builder Rick Vogel during his European travels. Homage is paid to the demands—and pleasures—of modern life as well. To answer the present-day emphasis on alfresco living space, ingenious design provides the best of both worlds in the rear of the home adjacent to the pool. Here, massive pocketed sliding doors telescope open to create an indoor-outdoor space as the interior space blends seamlessly with the lanai and pool. Outdoors, extensive gold travertine decking leads toward elegant balustrades that frame the space that ...
