Parhelia, a word derived from the Greek meaning "Beside the Sun", describing an optical phenomenon whereby light filters through airborne ice crystals to create halos of light. Asif Khan has created an architectural experience for Swarovski Crystal Palace at Design Miami/ 2012 which captures this phenomenon using more than 1million Swarovski crystals.
