All contents generated will be recorded and made available later in several formats, including the publication of a digital book and audiovisual material with exclusive images and videos.

RMIT University www.rmit.edu.au has unveiled plans for a landmark 0 million development that is set to transform the northern end of Melbourne's CBD. The 10-storey Swanston academic building will include innovative teaching and learning spaces, outstanding environmental design and a striking façade featuring hundreds of angular shaped sun shades. RMIT Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Margaret Gardner AO, said the building, which will wrap around the historic Oxford Scholar hotel, was the centrepiece of the Universitys 0 million investment into the RMIT Quarter of the CBD. RMIT has a long history of commissioning innovative architecture and this building will not only be an exciting destination for our students and staff but also a spectacular addition to Melbournes urban landscape, Professor Gardner said. This project sets the standard for higher education design, with its state-of-the art learning and teaching spaces equipped to meet the needs of our students and staff now and into the future. Designed by Lyons, the 34350 square metre building is RMITs biggest ever investment in an academic building and will also be the new home for the Universitys College of Business.
