The MA program was the first in Canada devoted to Canadian art, and it remains the centerpiece of our transcultural, interdisciplinary department. The PhD in Art History is an inter-university program administered jointly by Concordia University, Université de Montréal, Université du Québec à Montréal and Université Laval. The PhD program encompasses the full spectrum of historical, modern, and contemporary periods, while also fostering critical and interdisciplinary modes of interpretation. Hundertwasser colourful paintings.wmv Tube. Duration : 1.58 Mins.
Friedensreich Hundertwasser was an austrian painter ans architecture who died in 2000. Hundertwasser's original and unruly artistic vision expressed itself in pictorial art, environmentalism, philosophy, and design of facades, postage stamps, flags, and clothing (among other areas). The common themes in his work utilised bright colours, organic forms, a reconciliation of humans with nature, and a strong individualism, rejecting straight lines. He remains sui generis, although his architectural work is comparable to Antoni Gaudí (1852--1926) in its use of biomorphic forms and the use of tile. He was also inspired by the art of the Vienna Secession, and by the Austrian painters Egon Schiele (1890--1918) and Gustav Klimt (1862--1918). He was fascinated by spirals, and called straight lines "the devil's tools". He called his theory of art "transautomatism", based on Surrealist automatism, but focusing on the experience of the viewer, rather than the artist. (in Wikipedia)

►The Art of Kurt Wenner Tube. Duration : 4.27 Mins.
►Kurt Wenner is an international master artist who interprets Renaissance classicism with a thoroughly singular voice. Unlike any other contemporary talent, Wenner fuses the visual patrimony of the past with twenty-first century imagination and stunning originality. His works do not copy or imitate the masters, but reinvent classicism for a new age. The scope of Wenners work is not confined to a canvas or limited by a frame. He designs and executes permanent works of art and architecture, as well as ephemeral visual illusions... Kurt Wenner is a Master Artist and Master Architect famous for inventing three-dimensional pastel drawings. Also known as: 3D Street Painting, 3D Pavement Art, 3D Chalk Art, or 3D Sidewalk Art, they are a form of anamorphic art. Anamorphism is usually considered a form of Illusion or Trompe loeil, but is really the logical mathematical continuation of Perspective. ๑۩๑●▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬๑۩۩๑▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬●๑۩๑
