Upside Down (by Clarissa Yee) DESCRIPTION Upside Down is a reconstruction of Orhan Pamuk and his grandmothers flat as described in his book entitled, Istanbul. The book uses text and old photographs to describe the spatial similarities and differences to its reader. Yees film uses the laws of the camera obscura to create two spaces in one with multiple viewing possibilities. The work is inspired by Matthew Buckinghams The Spirit and the Letter and Victor and Rolfs Milan store. PROFILE Clarissa Yee is an architectural design. She lives and works in London.
