BRAVE NEW WORLD: Architectural Icons (LA) Video Clips. Duration : 9.40 Mins.

Los Angeles is a place that is ALL about innovation. From its historical and cultural beginnings, LA is a city that has engendered a set of practices like an environmental petri dish for people to develop their ideas, attempt their dreams and define/redefine themselves through their creations. There is nothing that visually captures these grand experiments more effectively than in LA's past and present architecture. The broadcast series for the Los Angeles segment titled "Brave New World: Architectural Icons of LA" consists of six (6) individual episodes, capturing the history and culture of innovation in LA that culminates in some of the most iconic architecture in America. University of Southern California (USC) Lecturer, licensed architect, and television host Mina Chow interviews the general public, and films various architectural sites throughout LA to show the audience the relationship of broader historical and cultural ideas as they relate to the design of the spaces. These short, but engaging episodes act as travelogue/dialogue into the past and present as we compare precedents of the most pioneering places and reveal the stories behind their innovations.
