gsa.gov The Guiding Principles for Federal Architecture, written by Daniel Patrick Moynihan, is the ostensible mission statement of the US General Services Administration's Public Buildings Service. Marking the 40th anniversary of the guiding principles, "Architecture and Democracy" features Senator Moynihan and leading design practitioners describing the origins of the guiding principles. They also examine the dramatic improvements to federal design that followed the guiding principles' release, with a special focus on GSA's Design Excellence Program. Narrated by Tim Russert.
