Jam-Productions Presents: Masjid Makeover Video Clips. Duration : 2.75 Mins.
Rahim Akbar is a Naval architect and engineer by day and an inspired artist by night. He hails from a well known Mughal family that is endowed with a rich and rare history in architectural design, woodworking, iron smith and masonry. His outstanding works which are carved in wood, may be seen gracing ceilings, walls, doors, or as stand alone pieces that invite the viewer to step into the world of the written word... or simply remind one of the beauty and serene complexity of Islamic design. As such, Rahim is reviving in the west the long lost art form of Islamic wood carving, or Naqashkari. He proudly yet humbly follows in the tall footsteps of his grandfather, whose exquisite work in the field may still be seen adorning stately mosques from Sadiqabad in the Punjab, to Sukkar in Sind. His work can be seen at www.facebook.com/woodgallery

InterfaceFLOR presents "The positive floor" at Milan Design Week (Fuorisalone) Video Clips. Duration : 2.70 Mins.
An interactive experience leads the visitor through a dreamlike environment, reflecting InterfaceFLOR's credentials in design, innovation and sustainability InterfaceFLOR, a worldwide leader in the design and manufacture of innovative modular flooring, presents "The positive floor", a new ground-breaking concept that guides visitors through the latest innovation in interior design. The concept, developed by self-confessed industrial artist Francesco Maria Bandini, can be seen in the attractive setting of Milan's La Triennale, a true temple of design which reflects Italy's artistic and architectural culture. In this labyrinth-like installation, the visitor is guided by his own sensitivity and interpretation of the space. A towering display rises up within a pure white space, where the visitor can move between imposing prisms, topped with vibrant multi-coloured surfaces. The prisms are arranged so as to recreate the effect of ground "cracked" by the heat of the sun, alluding to environmental issues and the company's tireless commitment to sustainability. Their multi-coloured surfaces, which are made up of InterfaceFLOR carpet tiles, are reflected in a mirrored ceiling. They act as a compass, enabling the visitor to check his position in the maze. Stairs lead to the top of one of the prisms, providing a view of the entire exhibition and an opportunity to admire the prism tops, coated in the stunning patterns and colourful shades of InterfaceFLOR's World Textiles, Ambiance ...
