www.designbasics.com At www.Designbasics.com, the Craftsman house style arose from the Arts and Crafts movement in Britain. Soon after the beginning of the last century, the style was popularized in the United States by Architects Green & Green and furniture designer Gustav Stickley and his magazine "The Craftsman". Stickley's goal for an unpretentious lifestyle lived utilitarian structures and with functional furnishings are the principles behind the American Craftsman movement. Our elevations of our Craftsman house plans reflect these time honored elements, while the floor plans incorporate modern design features designed for the way we live our lives in this century.

Lee Silton was first established as an artist in Florida in 1976, and worked in her studio with increasing success until 1999, at which time she moved to Los Angeles. Her earlier formal art training includes Boston Museum Fine Art School, and Northeastern University.
